I'm here...
I've been super-busy with sessions, home stuff, sick kids etc. (just the usual :)
My new website is due to launch in THE NEXT DAY OR SO (I hope),
so I've been preparing images for that.
Keep checking back - I'll post here as soon as it's ready.
Can't have a post without a photo, so here's one of
Jonah from a recent get-together with some other photographers.

The computer game was a starter kit of "UB Funkeys"
I have no idea what they do really - I just know the boys have
wanted them for ages. Unfortunately, Blake was too sick yesterday
to play with anything, but we'll get them out tonight hopefully.
We are a family of readers (geeks - ha!)
Blake's been reading well above his age for years and Jonah's now
following his example, which we are very proud of.
We bought him "The Key to Rondo" by Emily Rodda and my sister
bought him "The Wizard of Rondo". He's in to anything fantasy and his wonderful
teacher has been encouraging a love of the Classics (Huckleberry Finn etc)

Happy Birthday Blakey-boy!
This time 9 years ago....I was about to meet my first baby.
Wow, where did that time go?
Here he is at 9 months old...wearing his hair in a piggie LOL
Can't wait for him to see it when he reads my blog :)
It didn't seem to affect him too badly. He's a real boy!
His presents this year were lots of books, a computer game
and a Crystal mining kit. (he's Crystal mad at the moment)

Can anyone else see Aria in this pic? I think she looks the most
like Blake out of all of them.

More of Shelby..
I need to stay away from all of these beautiful newborns :)
A group of friends joined together and purchased a
Portrait Session Gift Certificate for Shelby's Mum.
Isn't that a great idea for a present!

Callum and baby Charlie
I was so happy to go and visit this family again.
I originally photographed Callum a couple of years ago.
I don't think he's actually changed much - just grown a little
taller, of course :)
This time I photographed the family in their home and Callum
was so proud to show me his brand new brother - Charlie.
I think they look SO alike here, don't you?

I can't decide which one I liked better...

Can you believe Charlie's a newborn?? Look at his head control.
Proud Mummy Jacqui, looking fabulous! Being a new Mum obviously agrees with her.
and Charlie with his Dad...
It was wonderful to see you all again - you should be proud of your
beautiful boys :)

More of the tub...

Comment reply -
The lady I bought it from was using it in her garden :)
She had it filled with water and had been growing lillies.
She was so excited when she found out I was going to be using it
for photos. I promised her I'd send her some pics.

There were 6 in the tub....
Seriously, I have THE most supportive family.
Apart from moral support, Mark never complains when I work every weekend
and he has to listen to my endless ideas and dreams. (and wishes :)
My Mum is great at searching out locations (and posting on my blog - ha!)
and my Dad takes my ideas and runs with them :)
I have a family session coming up on a vacant block of land.
(soon to be non-vacant when building begins)
We were brainstorming over a family dinner last week, trying
to think of a "prop" I could incorporate.
Some of the ideas were a couch, a bed, a pool table (Troy) or a bar (Dad)
I decided on a BATH and Dad pulled out the Weekend Shopper and we started making
calls then and there.
During the week, Dad called into a building supplies yard where
there were about 40 old baths. He rang me on the phone and reported,
"Nope, no good - they all look old!"
Dad! That's what I want!!!!
Yesterday, he bought out the Weekend Shopper again, this time he'd found
a CLAW FOOT bath...in need of refurbishment. Perfect!!
I went for a drive and bought it on the spot (it was such a bargain!)
I was so excited, I was giddy LOL
I sent Dad and Troy back with the trailer.
How I wish I could have seen their faces when they saw what it looked like LOL
Okay, enough typing - here's a pic of the 6 grand kids.
Isn't it great???
I have a pic of Dad in it too, but I'll spare you all :)

You should should have heard me when I took this photo.
I knew I'd gotten something good.

Maddison & Charlotte - Family Session
I love it when Dad's get involved in the session and special
mention has to be made for Wayne - Maddison and Charlotte's dad,
who carried this tent around while we searched for locations :)
I have a great pic of Wayne inside the tent...but I won't share it here.
(though I might forward it on to his fishing buddies :)

Sweet, serious Charlotte looking like an Angel.

I have a few in this wagon series which I adore.
Maddison is so funny, lots of different expressions etc.
Charlotte doesn't move a muscle and looks exactly the same.
In. every. photo. LOL
I'm so happy I took the wagon along. Perfect for incorporating 13 month olds :)

Sarah, we actually thought they looked alike too!
(they're cousins and only a few weeks apart in age)
Yes, it was Asian tourists LOL
We used to get swamped when we'd visit touristy type places
with B & J as babies. It's the blonde hair and the blue eyes.
Kaden not so much (brown hair and brown eyes)
Aria's been photographed a few times and one enthusiastic
lady tried to take her out of my arms at Movieworld! LOL
(wasn't going to happen :)

The Koala and the Giraffe - Rachel Richter Photography
Thank you to those observant people who have e-mailed me about sessions -
Yes, I am totally booked for the remainder of 2008 and as much as I'd love to,
I couldn't possibly squeeze another session in.
I am currently keeping on top of my deadlines and hope to keep it that way!
Keep checking my blog - I'll have plenty of sessions to blog in the coming months.
If you'd like to book a session for 2009, drop me an e-mail :)
Here's some recent photos of Cassidy and Kaden modelling the new
hooded towels from Noo.
Aren't they lovely :) They feel fabulous too!
Kaden wore his around the beach at Southbank over the weekend -
the tourists were going nuts. (I thought they were going to steal him away LOL)

Maddison - Rachel Richter Photography
I've had a few sessions lately with some of my favourite families
(and I've still got some to come before Christmas)
I first photographed Maddison a couple of years ago and it was wonderful

Just one sneaky-peek for now.
Our location was compromised (LOL) so I had to search for a new area -
loved this so much I think I'll be going back again!

I'm praying for Beau
I first heard about Beau through a Facebook group (of all things :)
and he instantly touched my heart.
He's almost four months old and he's recently been diagnosed with
Type 1 SMA. (read about it HERE )
I contacted his Mum and Dad and offered them a session on
behalf of ACOCP and I travelled to their home today for some portraits.
He'd just woken from his nap, so he was in a happy mood, giving me
lots of wonderful smiles :)
(which stopped when Dad pulled out the video camera :)

This was taken in his nursery. As soon as I noticed his name on the blanket
I wanted to incorporate it into a photo.
